We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Young Adult Neuro Team in Croydon, London. This ongoing full-time locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £28.00, depending on experience, and provides the opportunity to work with young adults aged 16-25 years with neurological conditions, learning disabilities, and complex physical needs. What you will do:
- Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for young adults aged 16-25 years with neurological conditions and learning disabilities.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based, personalised treatment programmes to maximise independence and functional ability.
- Provide physiotherapy interventions across community settings, special schools, and other appropriate clinical environments.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team alongside occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support young adults and their families by providing education, advice, and strategies to promote independence and long-term wellbeing.
- Assess mobility, posture, balance, transfers, and functional movement, adapting treatment plans according to patient progress.
- Recommend and advise on appropriate equipment, mobility aids, and environmental adaptations where required.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in service development, clinical audit, and continuing professional development activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Recent experience working in Paediatrics, Learning Disabilities, or Young Adult Neuro Rehabilitation.
- Experience delivering physiotherapy within community settings and/or special schools.
- Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, communication, and multidisciplinary working skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as community travel is essential for this role.
