What you will do:

  • Deliver core orthoptic clinics to support patient visual health.

  • Conduct pre-operative assessments to prepare patients for upcoming procedures.

  • Participate in pre-school vision screening to ensure early identification and intervention for vision problems.

  • Support Vision and Reading Orthoptic Clinics (VAROC), enhancing reading performance through vision therapy.

  • Conduct colorimetry and Low Vision assessments, providing comprehensive care for patients with specialised needs.

  • Assist with adult and paediatric post-operative adjustments following surgery for optimal recovery outcomes.

  • Travel independently to various clinics throughout Dumfries and Galloway, requiring a driving license and access to a vehicle.
