Role Overview

A fantastic locum opportunity is available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Paediatric Team in Redhill. This ongoing full‑time role offers up to £27 per hour and provides an engaging opportunity to work across school settings delivering Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and providing hands‑on therapeutic support.

You will travel between various schools to deliver therapy, collaborate with teachers and parents, and ensure EHCP requirements are met effectively. This role is ideal for an experienced paediatric OT who enjoys working in dynamic environments and supporting children’s development within educational settings.

Key Responsibilities / What You Will Do

• Deliver EHCP‑aligned occupational therapy interventions in school environments.
• Use the EMIS system for accurate case management and record keeping.
• Travel between schools using your own vehicle to provide onsite therapy.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Develop, monitor, and adapt therapy plans to support each child’s unique needs.
• Evaluate outcomes and make clinical adjustments to improve progress.
• Adapt to different school environments and tailor interventions creatively.

Requirements / Candidate Criteria

Essential

• HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist.
• Access to your own vehicle for travel between schools.
• Experience working in paediatric or school‑based OT settings.
• Strong assessment, communication, and intervention planning skills.

Desirable

• Familiarity with EHCP processes.
• Experience using EMIS or similar clinical systems.
