Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy services within the acute hospital setting. You will independently manage a varied and complex caseload, promoting functional independence, supporting safe and timely discharge, and preventing unnecessary admissions or prolonged hospital stays.
Key Responsibilities
As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will:

Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients with complex physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.

Develop, implement, and review personalised rehabilitation and treatment plans.

Assess functional ability, cognition, mobility, and environmental needs.

Recommend, arrange, and review appropriate equipment and adaptations to maximise independence.

Lead discharge planning, including home visits and risk assessments where required.

Provide specialist occupational therapy advice to patients, carers, families, and colleagues.
