Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Practice

• Perform a wide range of microbiological tests and procedures with precision and efficiency.

• Interpret and evaluate laboratory results, providing accurate analysis to support clinical decision-making.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards and laboratory protocols.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and quality assurance processes.

Equipment & Data Management

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Keep thorough and accurate records, contributing to departmental data integrity and traceability.

Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality microbiology services.

• Support service development initiatives and continuous improvement within the department.
