Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing in haematology and blood transfusion using Ortho and Sysmex analysers.

• Accurately analyse, interpret, and validate laboratory results, maintaining the highest standards of precision.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance protocols and participate in audits and service improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support timely and accurate patient diagnoses.

• Utilise the Wales Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for data entry, result reporting, and record management (experience desirable but not essential).

• Work independently when required, demonstrating confidence in lone-working situations and clinical decision-making.

Requirements

• HCPC registration (essential).

• Proven experience in haematology and blood transfusion.

• Competency using Ortho and Sysmex analysers.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Car driver not essential.
