What you will do

• Undertake specimen preparation, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and analysis in line with departmental protocols.
• Ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality Histology services.
• Maintain quality assurance standards and participate in quality control procedures.
• Work collaboratively with Biomedical Scientists, Pathologists, and wider healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Contribute to service development, continuous improvement, and departmental audits.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality management, and regulatory requirements.
• Apply specialist Histology knowledge to support effective diagnostic processes.
• Assist in training and supporting colleagues where appropriate.
• Maintain professional standards in accordance with HCPC and laboratory regulations.
