You will provide specialist assessment, management, and treatment for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across a range of settings, including acute and community environments. What you will do

  • Deliver specialist assessment, management, and treatment for adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

  • Manage a specialist adult Speech & Language Therapy caseload across acute and community settings.

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments using advanced investigative and analytical skills to inform diagnosis and intervention.

  • Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment and management plans using sound clinical reasoning.

  • Participate in the coordination, development, and delivery of training programmes and information packages for health professionals, voluntary sector staff, and families/carers.

  • Promote health, independence, and equality, supporting adults to maximise their communication and swallowing potential.

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated, person-centred care.
