What you will do:
- Provide comprehensive podiatry assessments and treatments across community and outreach clinics, hospitals, clients' homes, Health Centres, Care Homes, and Day Centres.
- Perform wound dressings, scalpel debridement of nail and soft tissue pathology, and manage foot problems resulting from neglect and lack of self-care.
- Act autonomously as a practitioner, developing and agreeing on individual treatment plans with clients while receiving support from senior staff.
- Safeguard the health and wellbeing of all clients, raising concerns where protection may be required, particularly for children and vulnerable adults.
- Refer clients appropriately to specialist teams within the department or across primary care, community, or acute settings for further assessment, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Manage a sensitive caseload of clients with complex health needs, supporting them to effectively manage their health.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across primary, secondary, and community care settings to improve foot health outcomes.
- Empower clients to achieve maximum independence through self-care and effective health management.
Requirements:
- Must be registered with the HCPC.
- A valid driving licence is required to travel between various community settings effectively.
