What you will do:

• Perform microtomy, embedding, and microscopic quality control of histological samples.

• Maintain a minimum output of 25 blocks per hour, including complex specimen handling with precision.

• Support clerical laboratory tasks, such as booking-in duties on the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or performing manual special stains, depending on your experience.

• Apply knowledge of UK laboratory standards and protocols, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

• Participate in a face-to-face interview and practical assessment prior to starting to demonstrate your technical competence.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration is essential to confirm professional eligibility.

• A minimum of two years’ experience in Histology is required.

• UK laboratory experience is necessary.

• Driving licence preferred to support ease of travel and flexibility.
