What you will do:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in biochemistry and haematology.
- Accurately analyse and report laboratory findings to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure precise test results.
- Work independently during night shifts, providing solo out-of-hours cover as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all NHS and department standards and protocols.
- Engage with medical and laboratory staff to interpret results and provide expert advice.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with a focus in Biochemistry and Haematology.
- Experience in blood transfusion services required.
- Ability to work nights is essential; solo out of hours working experience is required.
- Car driver preferable for ease of commuting and shift access.
