What you will do:

Assist therapists in the delivery of patient care and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a high standard of service

Support patients by demonstrating and guiding them through practical exercises and mobility routines

Maintain accurate patient records, utilising basic computer skills including email, letters, and spreadsheets

Participate actively in a team environment, offering support to colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the department

Help with the moving and handling of patients, ensuring safety procedures are adhered to at all times

Take part in the 7-day working rota, with weekend cover required approximately once every four weeks
Responsibilities:

Evidence of broad-based numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent)

Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting, ideally with older people services

Understanding of the role of occupational therapists and physiotherapists, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team

Basic awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace and a willingness to participate in supervision and appraisal processes

Full, clean driving licence preferable, aiding in patient visits if necessary
