Application Support Analyst (Maternity Cover)

Are you a problem-solver with a passion for technology and customer service? Join Elysium Healthcare as an Application Support Analyst (Maternity Cover) and play a key role in supporting the applications that help deliver vital healthcare services across the organisation.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide first and second-line support for a range of business applications, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved effectively and in line with business priorities. Working closely with the Service Desk, IT teams and external suppliers, you will help maintain the stability, performance and availability of critical systems, supporting colleagues across the organisation to work efficiently and effectively.

You will monitor application performance, investigate and resolve system issues, and ensure support activities are prioritised and completed to agreed timescales. Alongside day-to-day support responsibilities, you will maintain technical documentation, contribute to knowledge base articles and support the continuous improvement of application support processes.

Working closely with the Application Support Manager and Business Systems & Development Managers, you will assist with system administration activities, supplier coordination and a variety of support initiatives designed to enhance service delivery and user experience.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure IT applications function optimally by diagnosing and resolving incidents efficiently.
• Follow ITIL processes for application support and maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with IT organisational policies and procedures.
• Share knowledge and expertise within the team to enhance support capabilities.
• Provide a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in an IT application support role.
• Experience handling IT service requests and incidents.
• Experience working within a structured IT service management environment.

Essential:

• Strong IT problem diagnosis and resolution skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of escalation processes for IT issues.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of PC hardware setup/configuration and TCP/IP networking.
• Exposure to MS SQL Server and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with ITIL v4 frameworks and ITSM tools.

Qualifications

Essential:

• IT-related qualification (e.g., CompTIA, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent experience).

Desirable:

• ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure, SQL Server).
