Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH/MACH) Team in Middlesbrough. This 6-month role covers a secondment and offers the flexibility to work part-time or full-time, making it ideal for professionals seeking balance alongside impactful, meaningful work. Applicants must have prior experience within a MASH or MACH service and provide an Enhanced DBS.

What You Will Do

  • Lead triage and screening processes for safeguarding referrals within the MACH, ensuring robust and timely decision-making.

  • Apply expert knowledge of thresholds and risk assessment frameworks to determine appropriate intervention pathways.

  • Provide high-level practice guidance to Social Workers, Early Help teams, and partner agencies, promoting consistency and excellence.

  • Coordinate effectively with Police, Health, Education, and other partners to drive comprehensive safeguarding responses.

  • Maintain clear, accurate records on the electronic case management system, contributing to audits and service development.

  • Stay up to date with safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice across the service.
