Mediplacements are looking to recruit a band 7 Speech and Language Therapist for a locum position with our client in Bedfordshire.
The pay for this position is £27-£35 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Job Description:
In summary, the SLT service operates across the acute stroke unit, the Early Supported Discharge pathway, community provision and head and neck cancer services. The post sits on the acute side and requires someone who can work confidently across inpatient and community settings.
Key skillsets and experience we are looking for include:
* Strong Band 7 level experience within acute stroke services
* Proven ESD pathway experience including proactive in-reach and discharge planning
* Confidence managing complex communication and dysphagia caseloads
* Experience working across hospital and community interfaces
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to MDT working
* Desirable experience in FEES, tracheostomy management or head and neck cancer pathways
