This multi-professional team provides comprehensive assessment and formulation for people aged 14 to 35 years who are at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis. Treatment includes CBT for emerging psychosis and co-existing mental health needs; family interventions and carers support, and psycho-social therapeutic interventions that is trauma informed. The ARMS pathway works collaboratively with other service providers, including ChYPPS, Substance Misuse Services and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) services (Live Well Kent and Medway, MIND) and the 18-25 pathway for young people. This not only allows quick, easy access to treatment but also enhances support for the delivery of the psychosocial offer to young people in schools, colleges, universities and local communities. The East Kent Rehabilitation Service has a 12 month secondment opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist. The successful applicant will deliver occupational therapy interventions as part of the MDT at Ethelbert Road inpatient rehabilitation unit, 6 sessions (3 days) per week and provide occupational therapy leadership to inpatient and community rehabilitation for the remaining 4 sessions (2 days) as part of the wider leadership team. The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). Main duties of the job The clinical lead occupational therapist is a highly experienced occupational therapist within the multidisciplinary care team. You will lead in identifying, developing and providing the Occupational Therapy contribution within the East Rehabilitation pathway, encompassing inpatient and community rehabilitation, in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
