A leading provider of mental health and CAMHS services throughout the UK is currently looking to recruit an Associate Specialist to join their mental health hospital in the Attleborough area.

Details of this Associate Specialist position and what the hospital is offering:

• A permanent position of 37.5 hours per week, usually working days

As Associate Specialist, under the supervision of the team of Consultant Psychiatrists you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and treatment to patients within the hospital, with duties including:

• Leading the clinical team and attending/chairing meetings, ward rounds, MH Tribunal hearings and Case Conferences

• Supporting with Clinical Quality Assurance, Clinical Audits and Clinical Governance

• Maintaining positive professional relationships with stakeholders, CCGs and patients

• Attending regular supervisions with Consultant Psychiatrists and maintaining an up to date CPD portfolio

What we are looking for in an Associate Specialist:

• MBBS or equivalent with GMC registration, ideally with Section 12 approval

• Experienced in psychiatry, ideally having completed a recognised qualification in the subject

• Ideally demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health Act and keep up to date with the latest developments in psychiatry and mental health

• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and a positive, proactive approach

• Effective analytical, interpersonal and negotiating skills
