Job Description

Be part of our team...
Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust provides a range of services to Gloucestershire's population of approximately Apply people. Our vision is to be the service people rely on, to understand them, and to organize their care around their lives. We value colleagues and support them to develop the skills, confidence and ambition to deliver our vision.
In everything we do, we strive to be caring, open, responsible and effective. We expect all staff to share and demonstrate these values as we work to constantly improve the quality of care we provide.

Band: 5
Salary: £24,214 - £30,112
Hours: 37.5 x 2 available
Location: Gloucester and South Cotswolds ICTs
Two exciting new opportunities have been created for two individuals to join our Integrated Community Teams (ICT) working in Gloucester and the Cotswolds. The ICTs consist of Community Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Reablement who work closely with our co-located Adult Social Care colleagues.
We work in partnership with GPs, community hospitals, mental health services and voluntary organisations to enable people to live as independently as possible at home. The ethos of the teams is a Reablement, person-led approach to recovery and self-management, to ensure we offer care close to home, thus avoiding unnecessary admissions to bed-based services.
We are entering an exciting time as we work with our partners to develop primary care networks, which will deliver more proactive, personalised, coordinated and integrated health and social care.
As a band 5 Physiotherapist in the ICT you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and consolidate your training in neurological rehabilitation, falls assessment and prevention, MSK and long term conditions. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Physiotherapy Professional Lead and band 7 Clinical specialists for support and development.
We have a genuine interest in and commitment to the training and development of our band 5 staff. As a result we have recently developed a countywide band 5 physiotherapy preceptorship programme for both static and rotational physiotherapists. You will have an experienced band 6 preceptor and will receive regular appraisal and clinical supervision as part of this scheme.
We have also developed a comprehensive band 5 training plan covering key areas such as: respiratory, neurology, MSK and falls. In addition to this you will have access to a biannual rehabilitation in-service training programme. There are also opportunities to apply for rotational band 5 physiotherapy posts within the organisation.
When applying for this position, please ensure that in your supporting statement, you make it clear as to how you meet the person specification, especially the values and behaviours expected of all colleagues. This will figure largely in our short-listing criteria and the overall selection process.
The post holder must have the ability to travel between sites and to patient's homes when necessary.
If you would like to work for an Organisation that values its staff, aims to deliver the best care, offering compassion to all patients, their carers and families, and you can demonstrate this to us, we would like to hear from you!
