Role: Specialist Palliative Care Occupational Therapist

Band: 6
Salary: £30,401 - £37,267pro rata
Hours: 20 hours per week (Flexible working patterns will be considered)
Location: Cheltenham, Tewksbury and North Cotswolds (reflects hospice locality)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist with excellent communication skills to join our specialist countywide team. This post will be covering Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the North Cotswolds. The post holder will be closely linked with the Specialist Palliative Care Nurses currently based at Leckhampton Court Hospice.
The post holder will be expected to perform assessments and interventions with palliative patients within their own homes, facilitating preferred place of care. The work will involve prioritising referrals / workload on a daily basis and management of a caseload of patients with complex needs, working as part of an extended MDT. The post holder will also be required to provide expert knowledge of palliative care occupational therapy as a resource to other teams.
This exciting role demands excellent team working, innovation and commitment to the delivery of expert patient care.You will be required to have at least 2 years' experience of working with individuals with palliative care needs and an understanding of working in the community will be beneficial.
HCPC Registration and the ability to travel with the use of your own vehicle within the county is essential. We are willing to discuss any requirements for flexible hours by interested applicants.
