37.5 hours per 24 hour roster period
We have exciting opportunities for substantive band 6 practitioners within our urgent care& liaison psychiatry team at Pembury Hospital.
We encourage applications from committed, hardworking individuals to work within KMPT trust values providing excellent mental health assessments to persons both in the emergency department and those admitted to the acute hospital wards.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team. The team consists of a team manager, Team Consultant psychiatrist, and liaison practitioners.
You will be a qualified clinician with at least 12 months post qualifying experience, who will feel confident assessing and making discharge decisions.
Urgent care and liaison psychiatry prides itself on being a high quality and effective service and has high expectations of completion of expected paperwork, and clear decision making rationale.  We are excited to offer training and development to our acute hospital colleagues and encourage partnership working both internally and externally.
You will work independently and as part of a team and will have the availability of clinical discussion and joint thinking is encouraged to ensure the best decisions are made for persons using the service.
The role can be challenging and diverse, for the clinician this gives a range of opportunities to develop and be part of innovation, as well as developing both personally and professionally.
In return we offer consistent, regular and robust managerial and clinical supervision and training, and we encourage innovation, and promote staffs involvement in service development.
Please note that these posts cover public holidays and weekends. It is also possible that in the future the urgent care pathway will develop to support a 24 hour urgent assessment response in the community as well as the emergency departments.
 As part of KMPT's attraction package, we currently offer a New Hire Bonus of up to £1200 for registered nursing staff joining in a band 5 Front Line nursing role with direct patient care.

To deliver an effective service it is essential that you are able to travel between bases in a timely manner
This post is subject to a six month probationary period for candidates external to the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.
