What you'll be doing
In this role, you will provide assessment, treatment and discharge planning to a caseload of adults with varied and often complex MSK needs.
What’s a typical day?
You will be expected to establish and maintain efficient communication within the multi-disciplinary team (both internal and external) to ensure a holistic and complete duty of care.
Who we’re looking for?
Degree in physiotherapy
Proven experience as a MSK physiotherapist.
Commitment to Multi-disciplinary team work
Sound clinical reasoning skills
Knowledge of health and safety issues in a therapy setting
Evidence of ongoing CPD
Record of mandatory training
Basic computer skills
Assertive, articulate and polite.
Good written and spoken English.
Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent telephone manner.
Excellent organisational skills.
Able to work on own initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Good timekeeping but prepared to be flexible.
Good health record and ability to perform required activities.
Awareness of limitations of own knowledge, skills and capacity
Awareness of cultural and other differences
Knowledge of professional and legal responsibilities of the profession including the Professional Code of Conduct.
Ability to evaluate and reflect on own work and to learn from reflections.
Ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
Confidence and enthusiasm.
Flexibility to adapt to changes.
Ability to motivate self and others.
Possessing and displaying: Accountability, a caring nature, respect for all, enabling and ethical nature and dedication.
Member of special interest group
Knowledge of specialist devices appropriate to MSK
Presentation/teaching to colleagues
Participation in wider departmental/hospital duties
Strong national clinical network and clinical engagement
Within our Oncology department, all Clinical staff trained in the Gold standard framework
