Job Description

Occupational Therapist - Adult Learning Disabilities/Autism

South Yorkshire

£26,000 - £31,000 DOE

 

Remit

Compass Associates are proud to be working with a specialist provider of children's and adult's learning disabilities, autism and complex needs' services to recruit an Occupational Therapist.

 

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week which is based at their residential service in South Yorkshire for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and associated mental health conditions. You will be a valued member of the Occupational Therapy team which includes the Head of Occupational Therapy plus 8 other qualified Occupational Therapists - this means that you will have excellent peer support, regular team meetings and 1:1 clinical supervision. In addition to this, you will work within the wider MDT which includes a Consultant Lead Psychologist for the Adult Services, Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, SALTs, Therapy Assistants, Behaviour Therapists and Care/Support staff.

 

This service has capacity for up to 80 adults who reside in individual flats or small group accommodation. There are excellent purpose-built facilities which include group kitchens, café, post office, hairdressers, bar and village hall.

 

Commutable from: Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds, Dewsbury, Normanton, Goole, Selby, Scunthorpe, Gainsborough, Lincoln, Newark, Chesterfield, Worksop, Mansfield, Peak District and surrounding towns.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must have:

A degree in Occupational Therapy

HCPC registration

Knowledge, experience and a keen interest in learning disabilities and autism
