JustOT are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to work as part of a Inpatient team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist who is motivated and enthusiastic and may be looking for a new direction to manage the activities team at EHCC.
The post holder will:
*Be responsible for the Activities Department in organising, implementing and evaluating activities for clients referred to inpatient and Day Hospital and Falls Prevention Clinic.
*The post holder should have a good understanding of the needs of older people having regard to common health issues, and the ageing process as well as a good understanding of the Diversity of Newham.
*To directly manage staff in the team and actively support volunteers and work experience students within the department.
*To promote the relevance of activities for older people to other agencies on behalf of the service.
You would be joining a small friendly and forward thinking service that is committed to high standards of practice. We will support you in developing your skills and in developing the service to meet the needs of the residents of newham. We will also offer you the opportunity to participate in and other policy and service developments. We are committed to developing staff through regular supervision, appraisals, support in CPD and opportunities for career progression.
