The Physiotherapy Service within the Surgical and Medical Teams are looking for an enthusiastic forward thinking HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join our well-established teams.
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is the leading Trust for teaching, research and specialist services in the North West of England.
The specialist rotations offered on the Band 6 rotation are Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery, Intensive Care and Surgical High Dependency, Specialist Surgery including Hepatobiliary, Head and Neck Surgery, Acute Respiratory Medicine including Non Invasive Ventilation with Medical High Dependency Unit Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Outpatients assessing and treating patients with Hyperventilation Syndrome and Bronchiectasis and in reaching onto the Acute Medical Assessment Unit.
Your role as a Band 6 in these clinical areas will be active involvement in the development of the acute services. You will be able to consolidate and develop clinical, supervisory and non clinical skills.
As the rotational Band 6 Physiotherapist you will be able to demonstrate recent experience working across a wide variety of clinical fields in particular within the acute medical and surgical setting.
The teams are led by highly specialist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and supporting a wide skill mix of clinicians within the acute setting. We promote close MDT working allowing a holistic approach to patient care, joint therapy working and developments.
The teams are proactive in the development of both staff and service and are committed to CPD providing regular Multi-Disciplinary IST and specialist uni-disciplinary support and education with regular appraisals and supervision.
You will consolidate knowledge and develop clinical and non-clinical skills within a supportive environment and be actively involved in the development of the acute services, supervision of junior staff and student education.
