And right now, we're looking for a Team Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Rapid Response Nursing Service based at Sheppey Community Hospital to help us continue to change things for the better with our new expanded service. The Rapid Response service operates 7 days per week between the hours of 08.00 - 20.00. The service aims to prevent hospital admission, assists early discharge from hospital, administering IV antibiotics, end of life care, PICC line care, VAC dressings etc. and offers a 2 hour response time to referrals.
Working closely with our Community therapists, Community Hospitals, Community Nurses, GP's and other Health care professionals you'll be responsible for contributing to the holistic assessment, planning delivery and evaluation of care to patients within their own homes. You'll care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.
You will be expected to support and deputise for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and be responsible for the first line management of designated staff ensuring the attainment and development of clinical skills and competencies of the team
This is an opportunity to put your NMC/ 1 st level registration to great use, you will have the ability to work both independently and also as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. It is expected that you should have strong communication and organisation skills and a flexible approach which will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.
