The Parkside Hospital, Wimbledon are looking to expand our Housekeeping Team. We require 2 further experienced Housekeepers to come on board.
The job responsibilities include:
Checking, maintaining and cleaning allocated patient, administrative, clinical and public areas
To deal with spillages after nursing staff have taken appropriate action
To daily check and replenish housekeeping consumable and disposable items in all areas as needed, reporting supply or deficiency issues to the Facilities Coordinators as required.
To complete any appropriate documentation for audit and/or infection prevention & control purposes
To maintain store cupboards, housekeeping trollies, sluice areas and their contents/equipment in a hygienic and safe condition, in accordance with prevailing legislation, policy, practices and procedures
To carry out any other reasonable task allocated by the Facilities Supervisors, Duty Nurse in Charge or Head of Non Clinical Services
To participate in a shift based rota
To carry out any other special duties or work outside the normal daily routine but within the overall scope of the position
The ideal candidate:
Experience of working in commercial or domestic professional cleaning service
Good communication skills
Able to work independently with minimum supervision after training.
High standard of personal turnout
Flexible with availability including weekends and Bank Holidays
