This post offers a fantastic fixed term opportunity within the Neuro Physiotherapy Department as part of the Band 6 rotations. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join the rotation of ten Band 6 physiotherapists specialising in this area. You will work closely with experienced Band 7s, Clinical Team Leaders, Band 5s and assistants.
Applicants must have experience working in neurology and respiratory including being part of an on call rota as well as NHS experience of discharge planning.
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a Tertiary Neurosciences Centre and a Major Trauma Centre providing specialist services to the region and serves a large local population. As such the post offers excellent opportunities to gain experience in the management of a wide variety of neurosurgical and neuromedical conditions in a variety of clinical settings.
The large Therapy department has over 250 therapists from Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy professions. The department has instilled traditions of supporting learning and development, which ensures all staff are given opportunities to develop the skills and knowledge to further their careers.
There is a well-established in-service education programme within the Neuro Physiotherapy Department; access to a selection of internal courses; and comprehensive library and computer facilities on site.
Students are regularly on placement from the local universities.
