The Department of Pharmacy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ambitious and forward thinking, striving to ensure that the patient is always at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join us, to operationally lead our Pharmacy Homecare service.
As the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Homecare Medicines you will work closely with the Lead Clinical Homecare Pharmacist and manage the wider Pharmacy Homecare team to deliver a clinically safe and effective service to our patients. The Pharmacy homecare team currently provide a service to more than 2,000 patients with a variety of conditions as you would expect from a large teaching hospital, and is a key enabler in the Trust's Pharmacy & Medicines Optimisation Strategy.
You will be expected to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including clinical and finance staff to ensure operational effectiveness. You will also work with the Pharmacy eHospital and informatics team to develop and implement the digital homecare medicines agenda. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to teamwork, a sense of accountability, plus an ability to work under pressure.
This post requires excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate. You must be able to prioritise work, have good organisational and IT skills (MS Word and MS Excel) along with the ability to influence and enable change.
This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS clearance and as a result, you will be required to pay the associated fee of £47.50 This fee will be deducted from your second month's salary.
