KMPT is creating an environment for equal opportunities for all, where we can ALL
It's an exciting time to join us: KMPT has been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection in January 2017!
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions within a secondary care psychological therapies service. Intent on bringing innovative ideas into practice, this service is forward thinking and flexible in providing a good quality psychological therapy service to adults who experience severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
You would be part of a team of 9 psychological therapists in secondary care, with practitioners in clinical and counselling psychology, psychotherapy, CBT and art psychotherapy. You would be responsible for offering a range of high quality therapeutic interventions including CBT, across the Canterbury and Coastal locality.
You will have plenty of scope and backing to develop your own practice, whilst providing a highly professional service to the community services. Consultation and teaching to staff in the multi-disciplinary team will be also an expectation.
The Psychological Therapy Services in Canterbury and Coastal are committed to providing support and excellent supervision and to developing their staff. In return, for the right candidate, you can expect flexible working hours and solid administrative support.
The Services have good links with the Christchurch Canterbury University Doctoral Training Course in Clinical Psychology based at David Salomon's House to which it regularly provides clinical placements to clinical psychologists in training.
If you are applying as a counselling or clinical psychologist you will have a doctorate-level or equivalent BPS approved qualification in clinical or counselling psychology and be practicing CBT alongside other approaches. If applying as a psychotherapist you will need to be BABCP or UKCP accredited.
Employment in this post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
