We are currently seeking applications for Clinical Fellows, providing an exciting opportunity to broaden and extend your clinical experience of Haematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation in the busy but supportive environment of the largest paediatric cancer centre in Europe. Duties of the post will include the care of both inpatients and outpatients and you will be trained in the diagnostic work-up and therapeutic management of children with leukaemia and a wide range of solid tumours and children undergoing chemotherapy treatment. There will also be the potential for rotation into our International Private Patients wards during this appointment.
The out of hour's commitment will involve long days, weekends and night duty with compensatory scheduled time off duty. Annual leave and study leave are covered prospectively.
As a valued member of the middle-grade team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the unit and encouraged to contribute to the teaching of nurses and other junior doctors in the team.
The post will provide excellent experience for someone wishing to consolidate their previous experience and training in Haematology and Oncology. MRCPCH (or equivalent international paediatric training) and 12 months previous experience in Haematology and Oncology is essential.
