The trust’s five hospitals deliver high quality compassionate care to the 2.5 million people. We are currently seeking a number of motivated Clinical Fellows to work in our OMFS Department.
The posts are intended to provide an opportunity for those aspiring individuals wishing to further their OMFS experience in a world renowned major trauma centre in the heart of the East End of London.
These specific posts are fixed term for twelve months commencing as soon as possible and will be based at The Royal London Hospital. Successful candidates will be responsible for OMFS emergency admissions to the Royal London Hospital out of hours as well as providing specialist clinical input for OMFS inpatients as required. The Clinical Fellow rota only covers weekends and runs from 0800 Saturday morning to 0800 Monday morning on a notional 12 hour shift pattern. These are specific Clinical Fellow posts in which each post-holder must provide 26 sessions per year. Any holidays or other commitments need to be covered through swaps which should be negotiated and finalised within the group. The specific salary is £7,975 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. These posts will be ideal for those with a career interest in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery who are undertaking a second degree and wish to gain further experience. Previous UK experience at SHO level in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery will be advantageous as will full MFDS/ MJDF or MRCS.
