CBT Therapist - New Service - Female PD & Eating Disorders
£33,000 - £41,000 DOE
Compass Associates are proudly working with a private mental health service in York which is opening in January 2019. The two units will provide inpatient and outpatient treatment for adult females with Eating Disorders and Personality Disorders. This new service is run by a highly successful, family run organisation which has specialist spinal and orthopaedic hospitals in London, a CQC rated 'Outstanding' children's mental health service in Birmingham and a further 18 hospitals in Germany.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CBT Therapist who has previous experience working with females aged 18+ with a diagnosis of an Eating Disorder or Personality Disorder as well as other complex mental health conditions. Your role will involve carrying out comprehensive assessments, formulating treatment plans and giving advice to other members of the multidisciplinary team, carers and external agencies. You will work closely with the Clinical Psychologist and deliver 1:1 and group therapy sessions. As an experienced CBT Therapist, you will provide clinical supervision to trainees and students in addition to developing new therapeutic initiatives.
The successful candidate will have:
BABCP accreditation as a CBT Therapist
At least 3 years' experience working as a CBT Therapist
Previous experience working with working in adult mental health inpatient services
Worked with adults who have a diagnosis of an Eating Disorder, Personality Disorder and other complex mental health conditions
Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Commutable from: York, Hull, Market Weighton, Malton, Scarborough, Pickering, Thirsk, Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate, Ripon, Otley, Wakefield, Castleford, Doncaster, Goole and other surrounding towns.
