We are looking to appoint a dynamic forward-thinking Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine to join the current team with our NHS client based in East Sussex. The posts will support the growing Acute Medical Unit and a new purpose-built Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit.
Candidates with a background in Acute Medicine, or those dual trained in General Internal Medicine and a medical specialty would be welcome to apply, and specialty sessions are strongly encouraged and would be accommodated where possible.
The dynamic team is passionate about delivering safe and considerate care to a high standard. You will be working with an experienced team of nurses, advanced nurse practitioners and designated discharge support services including nurses, therapists and adult social care.
We believe Acute Medicine to be hard but rewarding work that requires a balanced job plan allowing time for reflection and education, away from direct clinical care. This is essential for sustainability and to ensure we have the best diagnostic physicians working at the front door to ensure high quality patient care, junior doctor supervision and excellent service delivery.
The successful applicant will have a role in teaching both under- and postgraduate students and will also support colleagues doing these activities as part of his or her agreed job plan.
There is scope for undertaking sessions in a medical specialty and candidates with a specialty interest are encouraged to contact to discuss how the proposed job plans could be adapted to be mutually beneficial to the Trust and the candidate.
Wherever possible they offer flexible hours, a full range of benefits, on-site nursery facilities and restaurant as well as a wide range of training and career development opportunities. Staff survey results show that employees look forward to coming to work here.
Please get in touch for more details and interview slots.
