Lead Clinical or Forensic Psychologist - Male Low Secure
£55,000 - £65,000 DOE
Compass Associates are proudly working with one of the largest providers of private mental health care who provide specialist inpatient services for people with complex mental health conditions, challenging behaviours and forensic backgrounds.
My client is looking for a Lead Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to work 40 hours per week at one of their Nottinghamshire sites. You would be based at their low secure service for adult males who have a primary diagnosis of a personality disorder plus other complex mental health conditions, challenging behaviours and histories of sexual/violent offending. You will be responsible for providing specialist psychological therapy and carrying out risk of violence, sexual violence risk and personality disorder assessments. As the sole Psychologist for the 24 bedded unit, you will supervise two Assistant Psychologists and report to the Regional Director of Psychology.
Commutable from: Newark, Nottingham, Chesterfield, Derby, Stoke-on-Trent, Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Loughborough, Lichfield, Tamworth, Hinckley, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Grantham, Worksop, Mansfield, the Peak District and other surrounding towns.

The successful candidate must have:
A Doctorate level (or equivalent) degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology
Significant experience working in a secure setting and/or with adults with personality disorders, complex mental health conditions and forensic histories
Current employment as a Senior/Head or Lead Psychologist
Further training or at least clinical experience in complex therapies such as DBT
One stage with the Regional Director and a member of the senior management team.
