Spire Dunedin Hospital in Reading has an exciting opportunity for a Pathology Manager to join and lead our Haematology, Biochemistry and Histology Service. You will be tasked with organising, managing and developing the pathology services within the Hospital.

Duties and responsibilities
Managing a multi-disciplinary lab, you will oversee the maintenance of the quality management system and ensure the requirements of patients, consultants and third parties are prioritised and met. It will be your duty to assist with Point of Care Testing and development of ISO 27001 in histopathology. Whilst working with a broad range of consultants within this friendly hospital, one of the key challenges ahead is to ensure the lab becomes more patient focused.
Who we are looking for
You will hold an Honours Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent and will also be registered as a Biomedical Scientist with the HCPC. It is essential that you have experience of working within an ISO credited lab and have previous management experience within one of the three key disciplines for this role; Haematology, Biochemistry and Histology. Knowledge of cyber labs is desirable in addition to having exposure to histopathology.
