We are seeking a qualified pharmacy technician with the drive, motivation and enthusiasm to be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining a portfolio of 100+ clinical trials. You must be well organised, methodical and with a keen eye for detail. You will be expected to work effectively both independently and as part of the team.
The role will involve taking responsibility for the set up and delivery of clinical trials within pharmacy, under the management and leadership of both the Clinical Trials Lead Pharmacy Technician and Clinical Trials Team Manager. You must have robust interpersonal and communication skills to engage and work closely with the specialist Pharmacists and with the dispensary and Technical Services management teams. You will also build and maintain good professional relationships with the Trust Research & Innovation department, research staff and trial investigators in the delivery of a wide range of clinical trials.
Your main duties will include the set-up of new clinical trials; the management of trial material; supporting monitoring visits and assisting the monitor where necessary; capturing KPI and supporting the frequent raising of invoices; participating in the training of Pharmacy staff and the dispensing and checking of clinical trial prescriptions according to department SOPs, study specific dispensing procedures and complying with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
