KINGS COLLEGE HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT
The dynamic Physiotherapy department at King's College Hospital is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join the rotation of Band 6 physiotherapists specialising in respiratory care across in-patient and community settings.
King's College Hospital NHS Trust is a large trust providing specialist services to the region and also serving a large local population. It is a tertiary referral centre for liver disease, neurosurgery, cardiothoracics, cystic fibrosis, haematology and major trauma. The Trust is also opening a new 60 bedded critical care unit in two phases during 2018-19, allowing the successful candidate a chance to work in an innovatively designed, state of the art critical care unit.
Rotations are available in: Medicine and Non-Invasive Ventilation, Critical Care (including liver, surgical, medical and neuro), Major Trauma, Cystic Fibrosis, Community Pulmonary Rehab and Out-patient Renal Rehab, and our Integrated Respiratory Team. Support is provided in each area by Band 7 Team Leads and Clinical Lead 8as.
Continuing professional development is encouraged through the appraisal system and there is a well-established in-service education programme. Attendance at post registration courses is supported and there are comprehensive library and computer facilities on site. There is also a strong drive to participate in research at King's and the Respiratory team regularly submit posters and publications at national and international level. Support in research is available from our Consultant Respiratory Physiotherapist.
Applicants should have HCPC registration and be able to demonstrate post graduate respiratory experience.
