Spire Cambridge Lea has an exciting opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. Working 37.5 hours per week on a flexible rota across 6 days you will primarily be responsible for providing an exemplary sterile supplies service for all theatre instruments and endoscopy devices following a strict sterilisation process.

The Hospital is going through a £10 million refit which will modernise our 5 Theatres and 44 bedded ward. Also included in the upgrade will be the Imaging and short stay departments, increasing the number of pods to 19. The Endoscopy suite will also be JAG compliant level and there will also be an extended 2 bed recovery unit.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for providing effective, safe and efficient collection, decontamination and distribution of re-usable medical equipment. A keen attention to detail is required for this role as a strict process is followed to ensure the accurate tracking of all items at each stage. There will be an element of load lifting in this role.
Who we are looking for
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role within a hospital or experience and knowledge of the requirements of a theatre. We are however open to reviewing candidates with next to no experience by providing full training, although a keen eye for detail, meticulous in your approach to work and being a great team player are an absolute must.
