This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this role is £16,000 - £18,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
Situated in Exeter, HMP YOI Exeter is an adult/young offenders institution accepting males ages 18 and over; with an operational capacity of 550+. It accepts all adult and young offenders committed to prison by the courts from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset & West Somerset.

About the Job:
The role of the administrator in prison healthcare is at the heart of the service. The role is essential for the day to day management and coordination of clinics, patient information and the development of internal/external partnership relationships.
Role is responsible for carrying out general administrative duties within prison. Work within set routines, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service to the unit, and able to deal efficiently and courteously with patients and staff enquiries.
A key responsibility is the collection and collation of accurate service performance data for internal and external reporting requirements.
The situation in the prison can change at any minute. You need to be able to communicate effectively, work as part of a team and follow instruction diligently.
It’s this variety that keeps things fresh and stimulating. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences but you’ll have all the support you need to deliver the best practice possible from both the healthcare team and the prison team. The applicant needs to be confident in a prison setting as the office will be based on a prison wing.

If you are an enthusiastic, energetic person with great communication skills, you will be a perfect fit for the position. You will be able to work as part of a team effectively but also under your own initiative.
Proven experience working within an healthcare setting would be essential.
