The Pharmacy Department at Barts Health covers a population of 2.5 million. We provide medicines management and medicines optimisation services from our four hospital sites across the City of London and East London.
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic pharmacy technician to join the Pharmacy team at Whipps Cross hospital in Leytonstone.
You will be the operational lead for our Pharmacy department. Your responsibilities will include managing the dispensary and stores teams and continuing work to implement ward-based labelling systems and other near-patient initiatives across the site.
You will be working with the whole pharmacy team to ensure optimal delivery of day to day pharmacy services and optimise patient flow across the wards.
You will work closely with the Site Lead Pharmacist to develop the pharmacy service on site and ensure that we meet the needs of our patients.
You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in equivalent roles on the other sites and the Lead for Pharmacy Technician development.
You should have experience of managing a large team, delivering a pharmacy service and managing change in the healthcare setting.
