We are seeking a committed and experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist - Blood Transfusion Lead to join our client's busy pathology team at their hospital located in leafy suburban surroundings in Buckhurst Hill, Essex , on the Central tube line and on the edge of Epping Forest .
This is a full-time role but we would be interested in hearing from practitioners seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity.
Our client is a major provider of independent healthcare, working with many of the Home Counties' top Consultants and a wide range of healthcare specialists. This centre of excellence delivers a high standard of pathology care, focusing on combining the warmth of individual patient care with internationally acclaimed Medical and Surgical expertise delivered by the highest calibre staff.
The Senior Biomedical Scientist will be the Blood Transfusion Lead for Pathology, responsible for the day-to-day running of this specialist service and also participating in a rotational on-call duty.
The successful candidate will maintain an efficient and effective service, maintaining compliance with standards and looking to further develop services.
Degree-qualified Biomedical Scientist with full HCPC registration.
MSc or FIBMS in Blood Transfusion, or a IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma in Blood Transfusion.
At least three years' experience, including at least one year as a Senior Biomedical Scientist with at least one year UK-based.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills and strong computer literacy.
