Permanent Clinical Psychologist / Clinical Lead required for a child and young person service.
Location: South West region (Devon/Cornwall)
Hours: 3 days per week
Mind Professionals are looking for a forward thinking, motivated and enthusiastic psychological practitioner to join an Integrated Therapies Team and to lead on psychological services across the organisation.
The candidate will be an HCPC (or equivalent) registered psychological practitioner who can offer assessment, formulation and psychological interventions across our varied services. You will have a passion for working with the most vulnerable young people, with children in care and/or with learning disabilities. You will understand how to work both directly and indirectly to support the network around young people and will join an organisation that is determined to offer bespoke, individualised and psychologically informed care.
The successful candidate will be a key player in one of the UK's most innovative education and care organisations. Our client is an experienced provider of education and care services for children and young people across the South West. You will be leading and shaping psychological services within the Integrated Therapies Team working closely with operational leaders and with the Director of Therapies.
The Integrated Therapies Team is made up of clinical psychology, counselling, behaviour support, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. The team seeks to deliver easily and equitably accessible, emotional wellbeing, mental health and physical therapies for the young people in its care.
The organisation want to encourage a holistic approach to working with young people and are seeking a senior psychological practitioner that can carry a comprehensive caseload, deal with complex cases and offer a variety of interventions, leadership and training. Clinicians trained in evidence based psychological interventions (e.g. positive behaviour support, cognitive behavioural therapy) and with experience of working with children in care using a network model are particularly well suited to this senior role.
