Spire Dunedin Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Oncology Pharmacist to join their Cancer Services Team.
Spire Dunedin Hospital, has been serving the Reading community for over 100 years, as a first-class medical facility. Based in the heart of Reading, the hospital has a 16 bedded inpatient ward caring for a mixture of surgical patients. Spire Dunedin is a local leader in Cancer Services with their purpose-built facility, treating a wide range of cancers including breast, bowel, skin, lung and prostate using some of the latest procedures. These include Single Dose Intra-operative Radiation Therapy for breast cancer and High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).

You will be responsible for leading, managing and delivering the specialist pharmacy service of oncology. You will also be ordering and screening Chemotherapy charts using the iQemo system and planning care for oncology patients using the Ardeo system so experience in these two systems is desirable. You will also provide advice and support to consultants, other clinicians and patients, ensuring the safe appropriate and cost effective use of medicines.
You will also develop a working environment and culture, which actively improves health, safety, security and infection control. Leading others in their development of knowledge, ideas work practices, planning, allocation, assessments and provide feedback to team members.
The Ideal candidate must be registered with the GPhC and hold a degree or equivalent, have extensive hospital experience & knowledge with haematology & oncology pharmacy. Experience working with iQemo & Ardeo IT system is desirable. You should also ideally have BOPA membership
