ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Complaints Officer at Barchester, you'll use your empathy to deal with situations in a way that helps us to learn, move forward, and deliver the quality care and support our residents deserve.
We'll look to you to manage Stage 1, 2 and 3 complaints regarding our care homes to find out why they occurred, and what changes can be implemented to improve our service. Day-to-day, this means you could be doing anything from finalising a report after your analysis of a situation to visiting a care home to interview a staff member, a resident, or a resident's family.
We'll rely on you to resolve issues fairly, sensitively and efficiently - an urgent complaint might come in that calls for an immediate visit, so you'll always be well-organised and flexible. In the role of Complaints Officer, you'll have the chance to make a real difference to our residents' lives while being truly valued and respected for what you do.
To join us as a Complaints Officer, you'll have experience in a similar role within a healthcare organisation - and any clinical experience will be very beneficial, but not mandatory. You'll be flexible when it comes to travel and have a full, clean driving licence. We're looking for someone who is objective, analytical, and yet empathetic. Your excellent communication skills will help you to connect with people at different levels, including residents living with dementia, as well as to write insightful and incisive reports. As a self-motivated and resilient individual, you'll be able to work under pressure and play a part in making sure quality care always comes first.
As well as a competitive salary, we can offer you impressive benefits, including free training and development. You'll have plenty of opportunity to grow your career in a large organisation with a warm and supportive environment.
If you'd like to use your analytical and people skills in an organisation that provides the quality care you'd expect for your loved ones, this is an empowering and rewarding place to be.
