We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join the Therapies department within our client's Medium-Secure Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Hospital, situated just four miles north east of York in the village of Stockton on the Forrest.
This is a full-time role but we are also intersted in hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity
Our client is a major provider of UK independent mental health care.
Set within a Grade Two listed country house dating back to 1800, this hospital has seven wards, 112 beds, and both male and female patients.
Their diverse population makes this Hospital a fulfilling and stimulating environment in which to work, and provides the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical competencies as well as areas of clinical specialism.
You will have previous experience of working with ASD service users and an understanding of the theories of ASD, as well as awareness and understanding of sensory integration and sensory assessments, positive behaviour support plans and the recovery approach.
You will have a professional approach to your work - which should be both evidence based and embrace team working, as well as awareness of current legislation influencing occupational therapy practice in a forensic setting and legislation surrounding people with learning disabilities and ASD.
Qualified Occupational Therapist.
Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Current or recent experience in a with ASD at Senior OT/Band 6 level.
