Our client offers a wide range of inpatient mental health services for both men and women including, specialist deaf services and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Security levels range between medium secure to rehabilitation services.
The specialist deaf services are unique, highly specialised services for both men and women who are Deaf and require low or medium secure care providing mental health services for Deaf people with complex care and communication needs.
The Deaf service for men provides assessment and treatment in both medium and low secure settings, and the service for Deaf women, which is the only Deaf service for women available in the UK, is provided for patients from the age of 18 years in a medium secure setting.
The CAMHS service provides 10 general Acute beds. The service offers individualised care for young people aged between 13 and 18 who are experiencing a mental health crisis or whose needs mean they cannot be supported in community settings. It is a safe therapeutic environment with a focus on helping the young person stabilise, so that hospital treatment is no longer required and they are able to integrate back into the community. Also, there are two Tier 4 CAMHS PICU services offering a defined treatment pathway from admission through intervention and discharge including rapid assessment and treatment.
For all of the above services each service user has a bedroom with en-suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways.

You will assist the devoted Multi-Disciplinary team, playing an important role in the daily routine of the service users as well as admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times.
You will be working in a hospital providing guidance and encouragement to patients through physical and emotional support, assisting patients with their medical and welfare needs whilst safeguarding and maintaining a safe, clean and enjoyable environment to live and work in.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
You will be dedicated, caring and passionate about helping people; having a real interest in improving the lives of others.
A good level of literacy and numeracy skills will be necessary, but also a drive to develop your knowledge and skills to ensure you are constantly providing the best quality care for services users and a high-level knowledge base / support system to your team. Whilst also being able to demonstrate the ability to effectively deal with a range of challenging situations, bringing with you a strong mental aptitude meeting the demands of the role.
