Permanent Head of Psychology (Clinical Psychologist) required in East London
37.5 Hours per week
Band 8B - Competitive Salary Depending on experience
Our Client is one of the UK’s most well established mental health care providers. They provide specialist therapeutic services for women helping patients return home as quickly as possible based in a well facilitated hospital. The wide range of expert services provided consist of different wards including: mental health with learning disability, personality disorder offering DBT interventions, psychiatric intensive care units (PICU) and low secure.
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to take on the head of psychology position, leading the psychology department and creating a care package for a mixed patient group. The role involves the candidate to ensure the provision of adequate clinical psychology across the hospital, reporting to the hospital manager.
The successful candidate will need to ensure all services are using correct recovery based outcome measures. It is a leading role that will require leadership and supervision in order to innovate, influence service plans and drive psychological agenda forward to achieve and sustain an exceptional service. You will also need to work with members of the senior management team providing training where required.
It is essential that candidates have the following:
- HCPC Registration
- Relevant Qualifications
- Experience as a principle psychologist or NHS band 8B
- Experience in service design, implementation and evaluation
- Experience of working with models of care for service users with complex needs and personality issues
