Salary: £80,000 -£110,000 per annum / £38.46 - £52.88 per hour (negotiable depending on experience
Bonus: Annual bonus provided.
Hours: Full Time - 48 hours per week ( 40 Scheduled / 8 unscheduled )

Further Details about the role: I am looking to recruit a Ophthalmology Clinician, you will be responsible for the development of the service, working within national guidelines and providing local service contractual requirements and growth of required service. The services will be provided on multiple sites and the post holder will support the development of the clinical team to provide these services. As a Clinician you will be required to have completed a substantial number of procedures identified above independently. As an Ophthalmology Clinician you will be required to perform a range of ophthalmology procedures on patients referred to the treatment centre and provide supervision of the provision of adult community ophthalmology services delivered by allied healthcare professionals, working in accordance with our client's protocols and working practices. This position will also require you to demonstrate a high level of operative skill in the following areas: High Volume Phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia (Essential), Medical Retina including AMD (Essential), Glaucoma services (Essential), Yag Laser treatments. Your duties will include preoperative, intra operative and postoperative activities as well as time allocated for clinical supporting work.
Person Specification: to apply for this role you must hold a valid UK registerable Medical Degree, Full and Specialist GMC Registration in relevant specialty, with no restrictions and a clear DBS check. MRCOphth/FRCOphth/FRCS. For this position you must hold Past record of academic achievement. you must have experience in developing services, experience of high volume cataract surgery under topical anaesthesia. A clear Understanding of audit and Clinical Governance is a must. As a Ophthalmology Clinician you should be able to offer expert clinical opinion on range of problems within ophthalmology, also be able to take full and independent responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision.
