Minerva Nursing are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a registered doctor to conduct assessments in the main areas of Employment and Support Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Veterans UK and Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit.

Such assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day to or life in performing work related activities.

This is a chance to work with a well-established, forward thinking, customer centric client and to help people by providing them with the support they need to move forward with their lives.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and there are both full and part time opportunities available.

Assessments are usually conducted from a network of Business Support Centres and Assessment Centres; however, the roles are currently available on a remote basis, working from home.

You gain CPD points and a qualification upon completion of training; there is also the opportunity for career progression into management or training positions.

Responsibilities:

*To undertake a combination of file-work and face-to-face assessments of customers in relation to a variety of benefits and provide a report to the Department of Work and Pensions.

*Review medical evidence in a written or electronic format to determine the suitability of a face-to-face assessment.

*To provide comprehensive reports to enable Decision Makers at the Department of Work and Pensions to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.

* To work unsupervised and use own initiative however know personal limitations and ask for support where necessary.

*To analyse and interpret clinical information and medical evidence and provide a report in a professional and concise manner.

* Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with both clinical colleagues and administrative support staff.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years’ post FY1 experience.

* Broad-base clinical experience

* Full GMC registration
