Regional RGN/ODP Trainer - Ophthalmology - Private Clinic    

Wokingham

£34,000 - £37,500 + benefits    

Full Time - Monday to Friday          

                     

The Client   

                                           

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with several brand-new specialist eye hospitals that are due to open in the Wokingham region over the next few months. The hospitals will boast brand new equipment and brand-new teams and will provide care to both NHS and private patients throughout the local area.             

             

Our client has several hospitals throughout the UK and is one of the leading providers of NHS eye patient services and became the largest NHS cataract surgery provider in the UK. Alongside cataract surgery, the company also offers other ophthalmology services including treatments for Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), YAG Laser Capsulotomy and Vitrectomy.                  

                                                           

The Candidate            

                       

Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated ODP / Nurse who has a keen interest in ophthalmology. Ideally you will have experience in scrub for ophthalmology and be confident to mentor and teach others.    

   

This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in all aspects of the Ophthalmic training pathway and gives you the ability expand and develop your own skills. Shift patterns are from 07:30 - 17:30 and you will be working 4 days per week from Monday - Friday.    

                                   

Experience and Knowledge    

- Training experience in a busy multi-site business.  

- Proven work experience as a trainer.  

- Scrub experience for cataract surgery (RGN / ODP) or a willingness to undertake training.  

- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)

Location            

                   

This role is based in Wokingham, and is commutable from Reading, Maidenhead, Fleet , Cirencester and Swindon.
